A couple of weeks ago I had a mini-meltdown and almost cancelled my procedure. I was on a pre-op holiday in Tasmania to breathe in life and imprint sense-layered memories that’ll help me through 7 days of staring at a hospital wall. A sort of DIEPmoon. Then it dawned on me that the end of the holiday would punctuate the start of the #CountdownToSurgery. Fuck. I worked really hard to mentally leave my scarediness in Tassie, but was still a bit wobbly. So it’s synchronicity to receive this beautiful Priestess Package from irreverent, sassy Scouse Sistas and be enveloped in love from my Liverpool home. It’s more than a gift; it’s more than words. It’s a reminder of the strength of my Liverpudlian roots: I’ll never wobble alone. Thank you @clarejasminebeloved and San. I love you 💕💕
